Stories from the field

Author Ariana Maragh

Hi, my name is Ariana! I am a fourth year Social Work student with a focus on child welfare and child protection. I am thrilled and grateful to receive the opportunity to be working with Ukulapha Community Outreach Project in South Africa. I currently work with children and teens of various demographics and I am excited to witness and be alongside similar work at Slangspruit Primary School. I am passionate about social justice and advocating for marginalized demographics. I believe that empathy is built by expanding your personal lens and recognizing your own positionality.

I am beyond excited for this experience that will point me in many unknown directions!

See you on the blogs!
