I’m a PhD student in Law at UVic. Originally from Nigeria, I’ve always lived in big and very busy cities (Lagos and Toronto) as opposed to a small and quiet city like Victoria. I am loving the mild weather in Victoria though, and the people are quite friendly. I really like it.
My research is in the area of regulating the Western and Chinese oil companies operating in Nigeria by using non-statist normative orders to complementarize the popular and traditional statist model. It’s great to be part of the CAPI/QES family from the University of Victoria, British Columbia. It’s a rare privilege to be a QEScholar. This scholarship has afforded me wonderful opportunities to present my research in several panels and sessions and get meaningful feedback from scholars. I wish everyone success in your respective projects.
